I am buying a Rapid Prestige. This comes with a stock (very basic) HU. No USB, no BT. USB is not an issue as it has a SD Card slot. The car is for my wife so she has said "Strictly No modifications". However she would like better sound. Her current set up is a Blaupunkt Hamburg HU with JBL 608c components in the front and a JBL GTO 948 ovals in boxes at the rear. All speakers are driven by a Sony 4 channel Amp. This entire set up is coming out when the i10 is being sold. Can any of this stuff be put into the Rapid.

Now a few questions:
- Which BT car kit should I go in for?
- Can an amp be added to the original HU?
- Will adding components without the amp be any good?

Please suggest what is the best option for me in terms of set up. solution should be VFM.

How to Connect 2 Amplifiers for 4 speakers + 1 Subwoofer for Swift

Continuing my greed for more attitude.. (I just installed a 2 channel Kenwood KAC M526 as amplifier for my JBL CXT 3000 Bass tube during this week), the urge for more (keeda) has crept in my mind.. I just want to take it up further..(my earlier post thus ends, and the new one takes over)

Just to add fuel to the fire, i got a nice Kenwood Kenwood KAC M846 4 channel 720W as a Fuel (my friend who had installed this in his car (at the same time as i did 4 years ago) wanted to get rid of all the excess sound, he wants more silence in his car and he is happy with his stock speakers).

Now,

I'am looking for options to connect 2 amplifiers to power my 4 Speakers + 1 Subwoofer in my Swift.

My setup includes (already at my disposal, hence no idea of spending again on these) -

1.Sony Dsx 100 - Digital media player having 2 Preamp RCA-front & rear/Sub.

2. KENWOOD-KAC M846 4 Channel Amplifier (Max. 720W) - Intended to use for Rear (coaxial) and Subwoofer. (any better options??)

3. KENWOOD-KAC M526 2 Channel Amplifier (Max. 350W) - Intended to use for Front component speakers.

4. A JBL CXT 3000 Subwoofer tube as a Subwoofer as well.

With these in picture, what would be an ideal / best setup i can afford and power-up all my speakers.

I'm looking to fix these 2 amplifier under the rear plank (Wooden)/ Parcel tray.

What would be the Power implications / Side effects on the Battery ?

What is the Best way to power-up these amplifiers ? Can i do a parallel connection by splitting the
power wire or Do i need to get 2 separate power lines individually (Increase in Costs)?

I also looked at the option of buying a 5 channel amplifier, but the cost took me 2 steps behind (Min 14k for a decent one from ebay). Hence not going for it if this option looks do-able.

Please advise..

Would putting in damping material under it help?

The overall performance of the system is pretty good, and this is the only gripe that I have with it.

Hello guys. Everyone know that I love bass and that to lots and lots of it. Have been doing install since childhood. Used to make amplifiers in tiffin boxes and walkman as playback source and Bolton Speakers. I Used to love that sound !! Time passed and the passion grow and crave for more bass and more bass increased. Then came the time I joined this car audio industry I would Sincerely like to thanks Ajay Kamath aka Bass&Trouble. I really enjoyed that part, but due to some constraints I had to push a little back.

Now just as a enthusiast I started installing the equipment in my ride. Did few installs which were the one of a kind in whole of in India. I was first one to do a hair trick here is a vid of the same..

Anyways I dismantled my earlier ride but again made another ride. Here is a vid of the same. Again first wall install in India.

Anyways that's lots of stories, In my back of my mind I wanted to do something different. So I planned to make a Sub myself.
The sub at low power (100-200 rms) was played for few hrs before the final testing can be done. But as soon after installing it a enclosure and with just 1000 rms the sub broke before completing one song

Anyways there is not always success in first try. I made few changes in the materials and adhesives and vola the second one played for 15 mins !!!! But this time I measured the output of the same with the few top notch subs in the market will post the details of the same in my next post.

What is the use of HPF in a Car Amplifier? and how to connect it?

Friends out there.. Pls help me to understand this concept.

Yesterday, i was cleaning up my garage and found some materials which was lying around, and to my surprise, i got my 2 channel 350W Kenwood Amplifier (KAC-M526) which i had used in my old car (a Zen) and had later kept it safely, as i felt i didn't need one for my new Swift Vdi (This was 3 years ago). I also got my JBL 10 inch car tube subwoofer out there (again from my old Zen setup).

A though just came up, why shouldn't i use these in my Swift (better than keep them rusting and idle). And to my surprise, the amplifier wirings i had
removed from the Zen were still there. Good Safe keeping for 3 years.

My current car is a Swift vdi (3 years old now), has a Sony Digital Media Player(DSX-S100) - connected to a pair of Polk audio front (component Speakers) and rear (coaxial) speakers which are perfoming great and no complaints about it.

But the thought of using the Amplifier and Bass tube (instead of keeping them idle and leave it to rust) came to my mind.
Hence all this excercise now...

As far as i understand, if i use the stuff available with me right now, i can include the amplifier and Bass tube to my existing setup. Does it improve the audio performance by any standard ? This is my question..

My Plan goes like this -
1.Keep the existing speaker connection (connected from the HU to the speakers) intact. no changes to it.
2.Use the Kenwood amplifier as a Mono Amplifier (Using the Bridge Option) and connect it to the JBL 400W Bass Tube.
3.Use the Sub/ Rear RCA Output from the HU to connect to the Amplifier.

During this moment, i saw that there is HPF pinout in the amplifier? just wondering what is it supposed to be ? and how do i make use of it ? Does it make any difference ?

If everthing goes well, i would like to see how much improvement i get with respect to the sound output from my current setup.

PS-1: Would like to retain the OE HU

Edit:

a. An installer suggested either to go with a budget in the region of 80k or just put a component at front for Rs.5-7k and stop at it. He added with the stock HU, you cannot get the value for the spending ranging between 10-80k. Is that true? If that is the case, I don't mind with just simple upgrade (entry level front components)

b. With already tons of niggles XUV5OO, any special care to be taken during the installations

Hello,
I am actually getting new stuff for my Suzuki Swift, as its current setup is going into my Skoda.
My current setup in Swift is like:
Headunit: Pioneer AVH-P4250DVD (which i am going to keep in my swift only)
Rear Stage: Infinity REF 9633I
Front Stage: Hertz DCX 165 and Pioneer TS-B350PRO
Sub: JBL GT5 S12 (which i am going to sell)
Amplifier: JBL GTO 1004
Wiring: Scosche.

I am short in budget, so i have planed to get Rainbow Beat 4, or Mosconi One 120.4 (used if getting in same budget). A good sub from Galden or Rainbow under the budget of 6-7k. Front stage: Gladen RS line or HAT Imagine, Rear Stage: Galden MC Line or RC Line. Wiring: AIV
The sub will be moving from Swift to Skoda when needed, I need kind of a sub which can be used in both the cars and good enough to feel the punch in Skoda.
