Big news this. BMW leave and Mercedes are in! Additionally, Button and Raikkonen are gonna be in real scrap for that last McLaren seat

Confirmed by Autosport

autosport.com - F1 News: Mercedes takes over Brawn

This was reported by Autosport long time back IIRC. No more Brawn GP. It is officially named Mercedes GP. I dont remember the Champions going such a sea change in one year. New Name, New Owners, New Drivers... :o Btw, the car looks real great in that pic. Great Colour Scheme.

Lets see what Rosberg and Heidfeld are made of. No excuses this time for both if they dont win races.

get a load of this. Big Mac Schumacher could drive for mercedes. these are only speculations and not a confirmation of sorts. but think about it. Big Mac got nothing to lose and only to gain. mercedes can still hold on to their 'all german team' tag and yet learn a ton of things from Schu and teh biggest of them all is a return to his master- Ross Brawn.

Mercedes not ready to win - Schumacher

Post Number:#8  Postby avinash » Sat Feb 27, 2010 4:52 am

Michael Schumacher has admitted that Mercedes is off the pace of the front runners and will not be challenging for victory at the start of the season.

Mercedes has failed to grab the headline times of its rivals during pre-season testing but has remained quietly confident. On Thursday Nico Rosberg said an update to the car ahead of the first race in Bahrain would bring it closer to the likes of Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren, but Schumacher isn't so sure.

When asked if the former championship-winning Brawn team will be challenging for wins from the first race, he replied: "Maybe not. I can't make judgements about the other teams at the moment, but I do know that we're not in the position we want to be - to be challenging for wins straight away. We are working hard and the season is long. The main aim at the moment is not to be too far off.

"We are working very well together, it has taken very little time to get on with everybody. They are very good guys, it's very professional and a good atmosphere. But we have to prove ourselves on the track. Testing is one thing, racing is another."
