Its EPS in Vento and Polo but in Polo 1.6 its electrohydraulic.

Yes it is EPS in my 1.6 as the showroom guy told me.
And got problem with Rear Right Power Window. Its just locked. Not sliding down. Though the power window lock button is unlocked though it still not responding. Fixed an appointment with VW service center, hope this wil be fixed soon by them.
1.6 comes with EHPS. Please see below link

One new issue......once the car starts and all the 'check' lights come on.....and then go out....even the seat belt unfastened sign is also going off even when I am without a seat belt....is that common?
I am also experiencing some jerks on smooth roads at around 70 kmph but over 120 it is okay....anyone with some experience on this?
Polo 1.2 and Vento have EPS. Polo 1.6 has EHPS.

Just to clarify a few things-
Hydraulic power steering - hydraulic pump run by a belt driven by the engine.
Electric Power Steering - No pump, just an electric system.
Electro-hydraulic steering - hydraulic pump driven by an electric motor.
