Actually I've seen more Santa Fe's than Kizhashi's I like the design curves of Kizhashi. Santa Fe, IMO nothing striking at all !

I actually saw 4 Kizashi's in the last 3 days. I didn't even know they managed to sell so many in this city

Santa Fe's are a plenty in Bangalore as well. There are still some people who buy these expensive cars apparently.

even i quite liked the santa fe, perhaps the only thing that bothered me a bit was the engine clatter when i was outside the vehicle, otherwise a decent vehicle but quite overpriced, i wouldn't buy it with my own money(assuming i had any )

i even feel that the kizashi is a good looking vehicle but then again, quite overpriced, again wouldn't buy it with my own money

i read your post Metalspree, and i am horrified to read what you've been through, i guess this illustrates the fact what customer service means in our country, in the sense that if you purchase something out of the ordinary, you'll have to deal with certain problems that other people don't have to deal with because you own something which is a little 'hatke'(unique), i think its down right unfair, however this should serve as a pointer for future purchases, that if you plan on buying something unique you better be prepared for some unique experiences along with it

Sold the Xtrail today for a sad price

Did you try Renault Koleos?? Why don't you wait for Audi Q3??

camchennai sold it for 8L . I know its a sad price but no other option and had to let it go


Koleos is Xtrail with a new flesh and Renault meehhhhhh not interested with just one sales and one ASS in Bangalore i do not want to take a chance again .

IIRC Renault and Nissan is managed Hover Automotive India who are idiots when handling customers.

Also heard from a friend that Shahwar Nissan ( the same idiots who screwed up my car) own Renault Bangalore as well .

Went for XUV5OO TD today below are my views on the car

After test driving below are my views

!) There is bad clutch kick back in 1st gear a little in 2nd , rest of the gears are fine. it was stalling badly
2) Breaking is not adequate .
3) Back seats are very comfy for a giant like me also they are much better than front seats.
4) Bad design of the instrument cluster . I just cant see the speedometer or RPM meter or the indicator lights .The steering hides the visibility.
5) Engine is super refined and suspension is kick ass. Did not feel any turbo lag.
6) Interiors are good for a 16L car , comes with all bells and whistles
7) AC is super chilling.
8) Not adequate dead pedal for a shoe size of 10.
9) Stock speakers SUCK.
10) Hardly any body roll.
11) Cabin noise is well controlled.
12) 3rd Row meehhhh, there is not even decent space for cats or dogs.

Had a falcepalm situation at Sireesh Auto

Me: Brakes not adequate
Sales Guy: Sir , Bosch are working on it and we will come out with a solution soon.
Me: What were you( Mahindra) testing from past 2+ years.
Sale Guys: No answer.

I am sold to the car and Sireesh Auto Pre sales service impressed me except for the above talk

I thought Trident also dealt with Renault. Their body shop in Banaswadi is filled with the Renaults.

Some how Renault Koleos did not impress me and do not want to burn my wallet again with A.S.S. I am 100% sure the maintenance will be same as Xtrail.

I have been waiting for the Q3 from past 8+ months and GOD knows when it is coming, also i am looking forward for the FWD which is again a BIG question mark.

Fortuner is tooo huge and interiors are boring ( i have a 2004 corolla and getting a new Innova as well). Pajero sport again tooo big also Mitsubishi doesn't have have sales in Bangalore any more and A.S.S is horrible ( Friend was complaining about SVR ripping him off ).

PS: I know i am being too choosy but cant help . I don't want to live with buyers remorse.

It will be launched in a month or 2, already press meet is over for Q3 so launch would happen any time....I would say wait for Q3
