Well the car is bone stock as of now, may plan to do something in the coming months.

So you are saying the Stage 1 Kit is not necessary at the moment and the OEM replacement from Exedy would be good enough for me.

Hmm need to think of this new part now... I was planning to get the Stage 1 as I got to know that its much better to have if looking for stock replacement.

On the prices front, I have checked few of the reputed places in Delhi and without mentioning their names the quotes were as 20 K and 26 K as well.

Only one of them here quoted it to be 15K which is pretty close to the bangalore price.

Agree with everything that you said except this. The stage 1 clutch is as streetable as the stock clutch.

Binz, thank you very much once again.. and to answer that question.. it definitely feels better than stock.. to be honest havent driven the car much, maybe about 100 kms or so but i feel it definetly is an improvement over stock.

Ok thought about updating the thread here, I went ahead with the replacement kit from Exedy and its very good in comparison to the stock ones.

so how many kilometers post the replacement? and mix of both city/highway driving?

guys...when talking about such stuff, is the friendly neighborhood garage / local mechanic sufficient or you go to someone else?

Post the replacement, the car has completed 5K kms and its a mix of city and highway rides.

The clutch is super smooth and the car is hoot to drive now, the next time I am changing the cluth I'm gonna stick to this one only.

One can get it done from FNG if you know the level of their workmanship is good, I am not sure many branded units will take over the work unless you rub some good rappo with them.

since i came across this thread thought of posting a quick update..

ive driven about 1000 kms of very aggressive driving and i must say its held up perfectly. it bites real good.. and even after 20 mins of continuous launches and quarter mile runs was perfect..

and fordfan its just a stock replacement exedy clutch so a local mechanic will be able to handle it without a problem.

    rev
