Hmmm... I thought you were clicking the trench & the planks over it.

Nice TL. It's been years since I went there - high time for a visit. Perfect season too.

Thanks Shishir, I will be back in Pune this Friday and thinking of visiting Anjarle beach or Kashid beach.

After spending some time at Kate's Point we decided to move back to Pune. We asked for a way to Pune from few locals and they suggested to take Panchgani-Mahableshwar Road.

    Harrison's Folly

After crossing Panchgani, we saw some cars parked wierdly on flat mountain. It’s a large flat land from where you can have a view of Panchgani, Wai and some other small villages.

Harrison's Folly is one of windiest places I've seen in India.

There are no shops here, but we did saw one ice cream vendor and few camels for rides.

It’s an amazing place to just come down and relax. You can lie down on the green grass for hours or have a picnic with family or friend and enjoy the scenery and winds.

Also, when we were here it rained a bit which made it more enjoyable.

If you are coming here with children just be careful as there are no boundaries at any of the edges of the cliff.

Top speed achieved with Swift (P). It is quick from 70 to 110 kmph but it took forever to reach from 110 to 142 ( Car's Speedometer). There was good variance of 8 kmph in Swift's speedometer and GPS Reading.

This was a stock Swift with factory fitted tyres and done 28K km.

Have you visited Malshej Ghat, Varandha Ghat and Shivthar Ghat?

Anjarle beach looks beautiful in bird's eye view, but I didn't like the beach actually, when I visited there last year. May it is subjective to me!

Nice photos! Seems the rain God is yet to be "meherbaan" on the valley.

Thanks Dev for the suggestions,I just checked pictures of the Ghats and they are looking amazing, especially during the monsoon.

    Edit -

Coming from North India and only thing that we miss here is the sea and beaches, that’s why wanted to go there.

I was back in Pune on Friday; I took early morning flight from Delhi and landed in Pune at 10:30 AM. Spent entire day at work and came back to Hotel by 23:00 Hrs.

I Called my friend to check our plan for Saturday and we discussed the various places that we can go, I suggested the list of places which Dev11 suggested (Malshej Ghat, Varandha Ghat and Shivthar Ghat) to my friend.

But, he had something else on his mind and he asked, if I want to go to Tamhini Ghat as he wanted to go for swim and enjoy at one of the Pond and waterfall there which very few people know.

We left from Pune at around 13:00 and reached there by 16:00 and that places is one of the beautiful place I've seen.

Tamhini' Ghat which is around 100 Km from Pune on Mulshi road which connects from Pune and Mulshi Dam.

Tamhini' Ghat (My friends call this point as Phantom's Valley)

anubhavt, bhala tumhara captured photo mere photo se badhiya kaisa?

Waiting for more photos! How is the rain there?

I have been told that there is no rain this year in this part of Sahyadri Range! Once we have good rain, all the valleys on all these ghats/valleys come into life with full of masti!

Tamhini Ghat is good! Locations are scenic! We visit every year at least once when it rains! But this year we didn't go anywhere yet. Waiting for good rain.

I have uploaded few snaps from my last years trip to Tamhini Ghat - Practical Hatchback - Trip to Tamhini Ghat.

I will be uploading them now. Most of the photos that I clicked have got lot of ISO noise. I was playing with the ISO settings in the camera earlier in the day and forget to change it back to auto.

We stared from Pune (NIBM) at around 1 PM, picked up some snacks ( chakli and kandi bhajiya) and drinks for the trip.

    Our Route

    Pics -

We took my friend’s 2012 Chevrolet Spark for the trip. He has got 2 cars, ANHC and Spark, because we were not sure about the road condition and ANHC has got low GC, we decided to take Spark for the ride.

How can we miss eating bhuttas (Corn) while driving on Ghats during monsoons. Bhuttas that you get here are completely different from one in North India. These buttas were very juicer, while the bhuttas that we get back in north India are bit hard.

After taking some photos of scenic route we stopped at "Quick bite" for lunch. Quick Bite is a pure veg restaurant and come after crossing Mulshi lake. Food was quite good and we ordered some naans, paneer butter masala, daal, kanda bhaji and tea.

Who took the snap? The camera position looks weird for a timed pic.

Love the sereneness of the lake. It would be possible & feel great to forget all your tensions for some time & just enjoy the tranquility.
