The first thing that catches your attention is the simplicity of the install. There is nothing popping out showing off except a damn sexy tweeter in the dash. Of course P80RSII was cool.
I have read about forwardness of Focal. But, experienced it for the first time. I do like forward sounding setups as they bring the best out of instruments and sound stage. But, this setup defined a new level. It was an insanely mesmerizing sound stage.
My God..that was my expression after hearing the instrumental (i think Raaga Dance) from Taal. The way the sound envelopes you, with the pace, accuracy, depth, precision was simply mind blowing. Some times i did feel that the highs dominate the mids/vocals. I believe this would be the best setup for metal, rock, rap type of genre. Haresh said that he choose Focal KRX2 for the sound stage. 10/10 for sound stage. You can't ask for anything more. Period.
The setup also demanded the highest quality of source. MP3 - don't even think about it. CDs - Depends on the recording quality. AGI music has sole rights for Ilayaraja's music done before 2000. And their releases contains the best recording of Raja's music. But, when i tried the S.P.B hits from AGI, i could barely listen them for a minute. I was afraid that the system will spit the CD out for playing a 'medium' quality recording.This is the moooossst demanding setup asking for the well mastered music. But, when you feed it with well mastered music, it was pure bliss.

One of the most balanced Setups i ve ever heared in recent times. The Music was very lively and linger in the air for quitesome time. The Sub is just Fantastic - the way it blends with the Midbass is awesome. The P80Rs looks sexy cool in Fiesta Dash. The Pods too were very nice and flush fit. I found the Vocals impact to be a tad less than the other Frequencies across the range, i am not sure if its because of the way it is tuned or the type of Song we selected. But Overall its a Superb Sounding Setup for most Geners. Kudos Haresh and Saravana.
