WHat about the shampoo...is this shampoo ok or wud this strip wax ???
I always use 845...so what how does QD make any difference...I just thought this is a waste of money and would wash off in the next wash.

If i do get a QD...should i use it directly on the wet car while drying it using MF ???

Is this the shampoo you are talking about? easi-dri-car-wash This says wax safe so should be fine.

If you do get a QD, spray both sides of the first drying towel, then spray on the wet car and wipe off. Follow that with the WW towel.

Yeah...am working on a new thread for tires and trims, will cover bumpers also... faded black bumpers look like absolute crap and can make a new car look bad...

Cheapest QD is to mix ONR / DG 931 in QD ratios (generally 0.5 ounce to 500 ml) Or get a bottle of Meg's QD ...any good brand QD should be fine that you can get locally.

I personally love ONR...i use it outside and inside the car, inside house for various appliances and have also used in the toilet super versatile product!

Maybe others can suggest a good brand of QD

Already uploaded a new thread in Tires and Trim last night...

And when the wife starts scolding on wasting time, you can always point out that

    A. You are saving money spent on an expensive gym because a few hours of working on the car is similar to a full body workout, seriously... After a morning workout when you go to her in the evening for rubbing some balms and such on your aching body, she is going to be convinced

    B. Tell her you are doing it for her... She can show off to her friends how nice and shiny your family car is when compared to their cars

    C. Tell her you are trialing different chemicals for more efficient housework on the car... Something like UQW can be used for bathroom mirrors and such, any APC or wax free rinseless wash can be used for cleaning glass and plastic or any polished surface like tv, fridge and computer etc... An APC makes a great bathroom tile cleaning chemical, is leather or fabric seat protectant can be used for household furniture... And so on...

My maid is very fond of my APC, and she asks that specifically for cleaning gas stove, kitchen surfaces, and toilet floors...

My father on his visit after seeing me using my leather cleaner on my black shoes, stole that when he returned to use on various leather items at home, and he refuses to return it back saying everything of mine is his and so on...
