    IMPORTANT INFORMATION :

Since this is the most popular figo thread, I am currently posting here :

This is a company circulation and the owners shall be informed pretty soon about this. This is part of the latest Ford TSB which has been sent to all service stations today.

Ford India Pvt. Ltd. has initiated a voluntary pre-emptive Field Service Action to inspect certain batches of Ford Figo and Ford Classic models for potential issues related to the Rear Twist Beam (RTB) and the Power Steering Hose (PAS). Customers from the identified batches of vehicles are being requested to take their vehicles to their nearest dealership where
    (i) we are inspecting the Rear Twist Beam for all Ford Figo and Ford Classic vehicles manufactured between January 2008 and December 2010, and
(ii) All Ford Figo and Ford Classic petrol-engined vehicles manufactured from September 2010 till February 2011 will have the PAS Hose replaced as a precautionary measure and to ensure the long term durability of the vehicle.

Please tag all the figo and fiesta classic owners that you know. I am tagging some of them.

My car's VIN has been flagged for rear twist beam. Is this just an inspection or outright replacement? What does this part do and what are they inspecting?

+1, but we need to ensure that correct VIN is searched because this application returns the same message even if invalid 17 digit VIN is searched.

Dude that message will be displayed for any Number that is not listed in the List of VIN numbers that ford has put up. There will only be two display messages either yes, your VIN is listed or no, your VIN is not listed.

You cannot expect a 3rd variable as sorry you have entered a invalid VIN or something like that. So please make sure a correct VIN number is entered.

The rear twist beam is the main part of the semi independent rear suspension also known as torsion beam. They are going to check that part and if any damage etc. is seen (you can also see along with them) then it will be replaced free of charge.

I need to check mine. I dont have the VIN No right now. But I guess it should be part of the recall list as mine is a Feb 2010 car. Anyways, FORD ASS folks are going to complain about my alloy and tyre upgrade and come up with tons of reasons to make me pay the bill

Called up MPL Ford now. My car is part of this recall list. Booked an appointment for this Saturday. Looks like they would able to deliver the car the same evening after inspection (or) replacement. Fingers Crossed
