Turtle Zip Wax (Wash & Wax)

      Product Type : Washing Liquid
Product Name : Turtle Zip Wax ( Wash & Wax)
      Price : 350/- for 500ml
Source : Snapdeal ( opt only for COD, as they delay a lot)
Review: Got it when local 3M store did not have stock of my favourite Meguairs NXT wash. It is pretty good in cleaning the car but not upto the level of NXT. It has wee bit amount of wax content which does shine the car.

Its for folks like me who are lazy to wax , for the price its vfm.

How about buying a pot and doing a review of the wheel sealant... Tell Pete you are going to do a review and put up a thread so he should give you enough for four wheels for free And yes Smart wax is a UK brand

But once Opti Seal lands its going to wipe the floor... And also 845 and FKP1000P can be applied for wheels also

      Ok, here you go -

      1. Amway car wash - Honestly, it is just like any other car shampoo. I had used Motomax car shampoo prior to the Amway one and both are similar. Both are good enough to clean the car, however, for rigid strains, one would need specialised tools. My rating- 7/10
      2. Mothers' California Gold Clay Bar Kit - The pack contains 2 clay bars along with 473 ml of clay lube and a high-quality microfiber. So, how does the kit perform? Firstly, I feel the 473 ml of lube is quite inadequate. When I started claying the car, I found that the contaminants ingrained in the paint in the lower portions of the car, especially in the running board and just above, are the hardest to remove with the clay bars. One needs to generously spray the lubricant over those areas, else there might be a case of the clay bars with trapped particles marring the paint. This apart, the clay bars performed decently. By claying alone, I was able to remove almost 50% of hard water spots from my car's paint. My rating- 7/10
      3. Meguiars SwirlX - Please note that I had applied SwirlX only by hand and I have no experience with a DA or a rotary buffer. So, I will not comment on its effectiveness when used with those tools. If someone expects to remove swirls from a car's paint by hand using SwirlX, look elsewhere. I would only recommend this to someone with extraordinary physical strength, patience and stamina. However, where SwirlX excelled in is when I removed hard water stains from my car's paint surface with it(almost 50% was already removed by using the clay bar kit). This apart, the SwirlX is an excellent polish in its own right. It left behind an LSP ready paint surface. My rating 6/10. P.S - I would have rated it higher if it was called anything but SwirlX - it's that bad for swirl removal by hand. For swirl removal by hand, Ultimate Compound works best.
      4. Collinite 845 insulator wax - A dream product. Application is easy, so is the removal. I applied three coats of Collinite on the paint surface. While the shine isn't out of the world, I was happy with the results. In dark coloured cars, results would show up even better. It's been close to 3 months since I detailed my car and it still looks fresh. However, I make it a point to not shampoo-wash the car unless necessary. ONR works wonders for maintaining the layer of wax. My rating for Collinite- 9.5/10

Here's a pic of my car after the DIY detailing session -

Thanks riturajsharma19 for a detailed review of these products.

Would you compare swirlx with Meg's UP?

I haven't used Meg's Ultimate Polish as yet. However, from various discussions on Meguiars Online, it is the least aggressive of Meguiars' compounds and polishes. SwirlX is a lot more aggressive than UP, especially when used with a DA. As mentioned in my earlier post, I managed to remove hard water spots from my car's paint surface with Swirl X, which I doubt would have been possible with UP.
