    YEZDI ROADKING restoration

Dunno whether this machine falls in this catageroy!

Well... pickedup a 96 model bike few months back for a restoration project. Thanks to Supa Crank

Now need complete info on how to source parts for the same. Seems like the engine and gb is fine. Need to redo almost all the other stuffs.

Info to source NEW/unused parts - Suspension, body, seat, electircals, tyres etc etc
Info on Chrome plating works in kochi/coimbatore/bangalore
Info on expert YEZDI mechanics in and around Kochi.

    Now its your turn guys..

Try JoJo's (or something like that) garage on teh road from Atlantis to P'ply Nagar (on RHS after Varkeys, on a plot of land that also has a HT tower).

The guy was trained at Ideal Jawa and was a whiz on all Yezdis. Dont know if his shop is still around, though.
    Cheers,

Man.. i was wondering what happened to your Yezdi since there was no news bout it. I thought you must've lost interest in it. Great to know that you're gonna get that bike rolling.

Parts are still available in Bangalore and you'll still get some NOS parts. Btw if you're getting it chromed in Blore go to Vijaylakshmi. But i'm sure good chroming shops can be found here as well man. You need to get in touch with the local Yezdi mesthiri.

There's a shop near Urvashi theater (Shop, just before you reach Urvashi theater, on the left side of the road when you go towards urvashi theater signal from JC road signal) i forgot its name man. He deals in RE and Yezdi spares, its an old shop but not in its prime these days. I have seen some NOS crankcases and other Yezdi parts kept there.

Chikkucheetaa Et tu Brutus ? Too many yezdi Roadkings on the road these days , seems like some one has released a lots of parts for it these days cause most of the bikes seen on the road in the past two months in Ernakulam are in pristine condition, "Beemer" from teambhp has also pickedup one in kochi.

I had a '96 road king too. sold it long time ago. The 1 year that i had it has been the best of my biking days. many people who own roadkings are busy stocking up parts and buying other roadkings for salvaging. its only a matter of time when it all runs dry.
