I am telling you by the feedbacks i get from customers...i dont have any idea about Osram NB..i can say that Philips XV has the same light out as compared to 100/90w if not better. XV has a longer life compared to 100/90w.

I've seen Osram NB's and Phillips Xtreme Vision and the performance can be said to be only about 20% better than stock at best!

Nothing beats a nice shiny 100W piercing through the darkness.

Ok, I've decided to go for a 90/100 setup with a wiring kit to go with on the Punto.

Will update feedback once its done in the evening!

I think all cars should have a double barrel H7:Lo + H1:Hi setup.

Make sure you have ceramic holders and make sure the wires are not fake

there are different types of holders that you can get. Ceramic ones are the best since they can handle more load and will not burn out that easy. like i had posted earlier somewhere that on my Dicor i was running 110/130 bulbs and the holders burnt out 3 times. once i shifted to ceramic ones they lasted a loooong time.. infact i sold the vehicle with the 110/130 with ceramic holders.

I know about ceramic holders, the Palio is running them for both Hi & Lo beams

Just that I'm not sure if I'll be able to source the holders today for the Punto.

Can't you get a good wiring harness instead of sourcing wires and holders separately? Or is it that for the punto headlight type, wiring harness is not available?
I picked up a Bosch wiring kit for Rs.470 a couple of weeks back. Came with good quality wires and ceramic holders. The wires are of better quality than the wiring that came with the Hella Ralley 500FF driving lights.

Ok upgrade done. Got the Phillips Rally 90/100 Bulbs and the wiring harness with ceramic holders. Total cost 1100/-

The Lo beam does not feel too very different from the stock setup, but the high beam is kickass now! Will have to adjust the throw of the lights get more in the low beam!

I too run Phillips 100/90 with ceramic holders & harness in my Ford Ikon for the last couple of years. It does the job pretty well.My stock Figo's headlamps are pathetic during night drives.I tried adding fog lamps from the Ford Dealer, but still not happy with the setup.
I am planning to add Hella 500 once my warranty is over. But it would be another year, any suggestions till then ?
