Never used it so cannot comment. Since SA8 works out very effective and economical, never bothered to experiment.

Its a very high quality but economical liquid detergent. I used to use for normal clothes and saw the results. Then naturally i followed it up for micro's. Another guy used normal detergent and in 2 months his micro's became brittle with that. Seeing the difference i found out that this one works well for micro too so never bought separate one for micro.

I have a question about 3M Car Care products. I know the following:

      1. 3M retails the famous & Imported "Meguiar's" products in India
      2. 3M Car Care centers are state of the art Car Detailers that use 3M products to detail but don't retail them. Instead, they retail Meg's products
      3. 3M owns Scotchbrite brand - house name for scrub pads etc.

What I would like to know:
      1. What is their history in Car Care products
      2. How do their products compare to other brands like Meg's etc?
      3. Why are they not popular on International detailing forums
I just came back from Balaji Agencies in Chennai and the amount of 3M products that I saw there was overwhelming. Half of them I don't even know the purpose/usage for.

Re: Quick Reviews - Various Detailing Products

      MF washing liquid are generally

      - low foaming liquid
      - no fabric conditioner present
      - no perfumes preferably

Use a decent brand liquid detergent for machines which are low foaming in mildly warm water... You can add some vinegar / APC if the towels been used with some oily stubborn stuff like some waxes etc

Soaking overnight in APC and vinegar in a bucket may help remove the stains a bit better... Same for applicators also

And no mixing MF towels with clothes... And wash wheel towels separately from paint towels

3M is NOT the best when it comes to detailing products. They are far far behind the others, why do you think they bought meguiars brand? They are good at a few things- Micro, masking tape and others like under chassis coating and sun films. Even their wool pads are good but nothing when it comes to actual detailing products. 3M centers use only their brand so cannot comment on the quality of material. There are no international detailers that use ONLY a certain brand so that itself indicates that 3M is not there at all in detailing industry

Very accurate- but with SA8, i do nothing of that at all- just rub a little concentrate and wash in hand. Its also low foaming so at times throw all together in a machine. My micros are used heavily for pro usage including cleaning tyres and rims and i have not thrown a SINGLE one since last 1.5 years. I will try and upload pics of a filthy one before and after wash but a practical video/demo will speak for itself! Its a very very powerful stain remover so oil, grease etc etc go off easily.
