      Diesel Injector Cleaning Additives

      Hi GearHeads,
I need your recomendation for purchasing a diesel injector liquid (ideally from Bangalore, India) that i can use to clean the diesel injectors of my Ford Figo. I am not implying that the diesel injectors are blocked or that i am experiencing symptoms as such. But I'd like to use the treatment on a periodic basis as I have crossed 7000 KM. More as a preventive maintenance. Your comment, suggestions, observations welcome.

      Thanks in advance.

7K is too early to use diesel injectors cleaning liquid. I would suggest you to wait for 30-35K kms before using the cleaner.

However, if you can use want to use .. you can try STP or ABRO. I had always used "STP Fuel Injector cleaner" for my Safari and other previous cars.

System D is highly recommended by many folks but I am unable to get hold of one, I am using ABRO and I can see noticeable difference after using it, engine has become free revving and diesel clatter has come down a bit.

It costed 200 for 354 ml bottle.

IIRC Ford recommends it too and is available at FASS. I think I saw it Metro Ford, BLR when I went there 2 weeks back.

IMO, Injector cleaner only works and clean the Injectors.

And, In the fuel treatment, manufactures add additives to do decarbonization or help with cold weather starts.
