No worries. That i10 was keeping up right behind me while returning from the Pondy last time.

the i10 is a powerful vehicle IMO. all it needs is better tyres. i have pushed the new (fluidic??) i10 a bit (not to extreme limits though, as i have not been able to find a suitable place and a suitable time to nick it from my bro) and its quite a quick car. and equally quick in locking the tyres too.

      sorry for the OT.

The i10 does not feel powerful enough. Even with better tyres which I have put, the handling is not good. It's otherwise a great city car. The car is comfortable and trouble free. Only problems are it's underpowered, handles badly and consumes a lot of fuel.

hmmm... maybe my perception about it being powerful is wrong then. result of driving around a puny alto maybe

handling as i mentioned earlier, i have not really pushed the car much into bends and corners. so i would not be able to judge on that. about the FE, i COMPLETELY AGREE with you!!!!

I agree with sriharsha here. Although my Alto has a more powerful mill, the 80 PS 1.2 Kappa engine seems very peppy and competent. Agree with you on the handling part, though my car still runs on stock tyres. Again, that may be down to perception since the Alto, although powerful, does not seem as sprightly as the i10.

I very owned both the i10 1.2 kappa first gen and the alto 800 first gen.

Though the i10 is more powerful and better built , the alto is more satisfying package to a.driver. why? Because
The handling. and Suspension set up of i10 is shit
      Steering feedback is absolute 0
The car makes all power before 3500 rpm and revving above is a complete waste very unlike petrol
      Rubbery gearbox

But as a car for city use. The i10 wins hands down
      Better driving position.
      Better interiors
      Better build
Smooth engine at low medium revvs
Maps is boon to.city driving and parking
