ReflectON and Ultimate Detailers worked on an Audi Q7 together and the result came out nice, some pics are posted.
Products Used - UPGP, Collinite 850, EagleOne, Meguairs, etc.
The cars bonnet was scrathed by a dog which tried to chase away a cat and had messed up the entire bonnet.

      Please post your feedback.

Absolutely love the pics. That's a gorgeous colour shade - will highlight the transformation best.

Loved the wheels most, even more than the car itself - but then I do have a wheel fetish.

Yeah, wheels give credit to the hard work , if carefully worked upon.
Im happy that wheels did take a lot of time, but came out clean in the end.

Did a two step preparation- Used Sonus Swirl Buster, Megs 105, Megs UP, Menzerna Power Finish and applied a double coat of UPGP, C850 for the aluminium and chrome parts.

Interesting. Why compound and finish twice with two different products that does the same thing? How does it help? Please help me understand.

      Hi Keerthi,

These are the products we used on the entire car (UP, Sonus Swirl Buster, 105 and Power Finish), but different products on different panels.

Since the bonnet was scratched heavily, we had to use Megs 105 (for a better cut) and tried UP. We did not use 105 on the other panels as this was a very new car and didn't need much cut, hence used swirl buster and then followed Power Finish. Also, one reason is that there were two people running the buffer, two different sets of the same type of products were needed.

Hope, thats cleared the doubt .

It was a great experience and fun, the true spirit of detailing where focus was to enjoy and give great value as well as learn!
As rightly put multiple products were used mainly as the bonnet and fender had scratches, M105 did not cut as much hence FG400 was used. To finish off added power finish just to be 110% sure and give that extra bit.( though may not be mandatory)
Swirl Buster was used because it was a dark paint and also there is not much we can get as cut from it on a hard paint but get the best paint cleansing property. All in all its great to have multiple choices to learn and see how a polish behaves on different paints, missed having S3 Gold as would have put that also to see its effect

Multiple polishes are sometimes required because

      1. As already mentioned by torque, different sections may require different level of cut...aim is to minimize paint removal / clear coat

      2. Paint thickness / hardness can vary even on a factory finished / repaint car, even on same panel... That is where a PTG (paint thickness gauge) also known as PDG (paint depth gauge) can help measure and capture the variations in paint and ensure one is matching the correct cut product to the paint thickness of a section
