I totally agree with your theory. It would hardly make any difference to the mileage.

On Such large Engines electrical load barely makes any difference. Even AC difference is hardly 1 or so KMPL.

What I know is that turning off ESP can increase performance due to more seamless power delivery and less intervention.

      With ESP-

      0-100 12.55 Sec
      Top speed Roughly 190~195 KMPH

      Without ESP
      0-100 11.7 Sec
      Top speed till 205 KMPH.

Please keep in Mind that ESP off at such speeds could be a death warrant.

Agreed , but the question was does ESP has effect on fuel efficiency .

If this is true then it makes the difference? Negligible or more is another issue.

      Makes sense and logical.

On that front, All I can say that-
      1. If effect of ESP is just electrical- Sensors, Ecu, Processing etc- Then NO.
      2. If ESP Intervenes by braking during abrupt acceleration or Helps correct torque steer by biased braking or torque distribution- Likely.
      3. If you are worried about FE you will not drive in a manner to Generate Conditions mentioned in Point 2 above.

      J.Ravi Sir,

RS 2.01 per KM For Service and Maintenance is a very interesting number at ~65000 KMs, You have spent 1.29L so far on this.

Do you have data for remaining aspects viz. Fuel, Accessories, Toll & Parking, Washing & Detailing, etc. ?

Sir, 23883/- Is this service not a bit on the higher side. @65000kms service is all oil changes required? Or you did it to keep the vehicle in good shape.

No. I have maintained the records only for servicing and replacement of parts.

The previous servicing was done at 50 k km, when the engine oil got replaced. So, after another 15 k km, engine oil got replaced again. The plastic/vinyl stone guard was damaged at Tawang, AR in 2015, but I managed it so far. During my latest drive to Ladakh, it again got damaged; it was hanging precariously and touching the road. I managed to tie it and reach Chennai safely. So, it was replaced too. Plus, 5 wheel nuts' edges got rounded while replacing the punctured tyre. So, again they were replaced. The last, but not the least, all the 4 brake pads too were replaced. All these including the enhanced GST added up to ₹ 23,883. Thankfully, TVS did not charge me for washing! But, continuous heavy downpour from Ambur to Bangalore on the night of 31/07 - 01/08 made P Cheetah back to square one!
