      Yes, its a petrol.
Shell doesnt have any setup here in Calcutta or in the East except a couple of units in Assam. Would have opted for it otherwise. Online is the only option but I am not too keen on buying engine oil online.

Petronas is ok for now since its working out well and I am getting it quite cheap, ie 2.1k for 4ltrs. Will move to Motul if I feel i need an upgrade/change.

The car is #code6 remapped. I was happy with the performance in stock form, so it was more of an impulsive decision. I just wanted to feel myself first hand how it's gonna feel, hearing all the praises from my friends who had their cars remapped.

I'm not hungry for power, neither do I rev the nuts out of my car. I try to shift at 2500 rpm with the city and at around 3000-3200 on the highways. So I was not too specific with my requiments when I met Tadu.

The driveability has improved perceivably. The car used to be slow in the second gear, relatively speaking. Now that has disappeared. It accelerates linearly.Within the city I'm able to hold on to 2nd or 3rd gear longer, depending on speeds. The car needed fewer gear shifts in stock form already, now it has become even more infrequent.

On the highways, the car remains a rocket with a significantly improved in-gear acceleration. Triple digit speeds come blazingly fast. I dont think I have say anything more than this

It has been 5000 kms since the car was remapped and I can tell wholeheartedly that this is the best thing I have gifted the car till date, next only to TEIN.

We didn't dyno. The difference should be around 30% (stock is 126bhp and 260Nm). I let you do the math

30k is up after 2 years of ownership. It has only been pleasant. Service bill was 8.5k. All fluids except transmission were replaced. Finally the ASC has done away with the dreaded Servo oil and has switched over to Shell HX5. ASC experience has been satisfactory so far.

Which service center has got the good choke for its tubelight and glowed with so much brightness .. Great move at least for the customers who have less or no knowledge about engine oils, their importance and role in keeping the car engine healthy....

Today a promotional email from Hyundai landed in my inbox. It was regarding Hyundai Care App. Installed it immediately and liked it. Wasn't sure where to post, so sharing here. This may not be new for some of us here but I definitely missed the app until this day

      Highlights:

      1. Schedule service appointments
      2. View service history
      3. Locate dealers in realtime based on your current location, view workshop details & contacts
      4. Set service reminders
      5. View service costs, labor rate, etc.

I was using this earlier but not now. Eventually, i realized its not exactly very useful for me since I spend more time on the computer than on a mobile. Same details can be accessed at customercare.hyundai.
Small problem in both portals is that they dont show running repairs or accident repairs. The service details just has the periodic free and paid servicing details.

The car completed 40K kms 2 months short of 4th birthday. Happy that other than the scheduled 10K 'care' the car needed nothing else. Service bill was 8K. Skipped tire rotation, alignment and balancing as I had the tires replaced outside. The coolant has turned somewhat brownish. Despite insisting the SA to flush and replace, he was adamant that it is not required - this is one of the things I like about Hyundai's ASS - nothing gets dumped on you unless required and absolutely no fleecing.

From now on I plan to take the car to ASS only for specific things that needs checked or replaced. The regular 10K-erly service will be a DIY. Will share pics time permitting. The only thing I'm yet to try is service the brakes and bleed the fluid.

Changed mine at ~30k. Was not required but said so in the manual so went ahead with it.

I get a weird loose metal noise from the front section bad chipped roads. Nothing on smooth roads or speed breakers. I am not sure its the bushes or the ball joint. You have experienced anything like this ?
Someone suggested that it might be a braking caliper greasing issue.

Got any aftermarket parts installed except the lights ? Brake pads etc?
