Hi there . Well if you dont want to add relays but just upgrade to better 55/60 W bulbs I suggest Phillips Xtreme vision. Have been using them for the past few months and they are damm good. No idea about crystal vision. But if your willing to add relays then you can upgrade to Philips Rallyee 90/100 with relay if you are ok with yellow light or try diamond vision for white light.

Rally eye costs 1400 total inclusive of philips relay
Diamond vision will come to 2000
And Xtreme vision bulbs will cost you 1200.

      Hope this helps

If you wish to stick to the existing wattage ,then go for philips xtreme vision. The bulbs cost Rs 1200 a pair. My friend enquired this for his Ford ikon. He was in a dilemma as to whether go for Osram night breakers or Philips xtreme vision. Finally he decided to go for Xtreme vision.

I had used Xtreme vision in the past and found them to be marginally better than stock bulbs. Personally, I felt the cost was not justified.

You are right. Is there any possibility of the bulbs conking. One can never guarantee electrical items. In the event of one of the bulbs going for a toss, can we purchase a new bulb or do we need to purchase as a pair??

It did for me for reasons unknown.

The last time I checked, they were sold as a pair. This was my biggest factor to buy a relay and upgrade to higher wattage bulbs.

IIRC, I have a pair lying around somewhere in my home. If I can find, I'll put it up in our giveaway thread.

Does anyone have idea on, how those bulbs produce extra light that is claimed by manufacturer with same wattage consumed ?

I have installed both Osram Nightbreaker Plus and Philips extreme vision on my i20.
Osrams are way better than phillips; they have a strong beam of light that gives you great visibility of the road.
Philips exreme vision come as single pieces while the Osrams come in pairs.
I would suggest you ask the dealer to put one of each on our headlights and then can choose which one to buy.

I guess it is something to do with the reach of the light in philips xtreme compared to stock bulbs.

This answer does not justify the Query. Pls put light on the below query if known to anyone.. "how those bulbs produce extra light that is claimed by manufacturer with same wattage consumed ?"
