      Maintaining a luxury car

What is the maintenance costs of owning a new c class or other related cars. I mean to ask the service costs/parts after the warranty period and free service.

I did not want to write since i do not own any luxury cars, but since no one has answered your queries, here is what I have heard:

A colleagues friend bought BMW 3 series without BSI. He had three tyres puctures. Each RFTs were replaced for about 25k each totaling 75k. Additionally, he has spent more than 1 lakh on servicing of his BMW in last 1.5-2 years.

I "heard" clutch change on a Civic (not a luxury segment car) costs something about 50k. It should be even higher for luxury cars.

My Honda City over last 6 years cost me about 3.5L (+/-) in terms of Maintenance Costs which includes so called free services, 12 paid services, 3 minor accident repairs, 2 clutch changes, 5 brake pad changes, 2 brake disc changes, 4 headlamp changes, 2x5 Micheline tyre changes, timing belt change, twice a month car wash, entire seating/interior refurbishment, toll payment, paid parking payments, 2 over-speeding fines, 2 no parking fines, 10x no pollution testing/certificates, car perfumes etc, minus 2 insurance claims

This is about 15% of my total cost of ownership of my car over 6 years. TCO includes Original Car Price + Accessories + Registration + Road Taxes + financing interest + Insurance for 6 years + Fuel Costs + Maintenance cost.

I would expect maintenance of a C Class Luxury car would be in similar lines, i.e 12-15% of Total Cost of Ownership over 6 years.

BSI costs in lakhs.. upward of 3L for 5 year package (old prices).. probably for BMW 3 series.. It would be more for more expensive cars..
