Keep the penguin for its performance. Polo 1.2 Tsi/Punto doesn't make sense as a replacement. Save that money and the hot hatch plan can be better implemented on your next upgrade cycle with a Polo 1.8 Tsi modded to 250bhp+.

Since your main requirement now is 6 seats, Get an XUV/Innova/Storme for family outings and bad roads.

Knowing you, please dont get the Innova. Get the XUV instead! Remember the pondy drive? I am sure it can keep up to your power-expectations and satisfy the 5+2 needs as well.

Hot hatch? , the choices you have mentioned wont keep up with your power expectations when you compare it with your Rapid or the fiesta.

Get nothing less than a 1.6 Turbo Charged petrol or diesel if any available.

I have seen confused "Which car to buy thread" here. speed79 spoke about Nano and Storme in same thread and we went through an interesting conversation with him before he decided to confirm on a Black Strome VX 4x4.

Whats up with you? Why would you list a hot hatch when you have a clear requirement of having 5+2 twice every month? You fine travelling in two cars twice every month for a family ride? Is it fun?

And, amidst the list of all the cars that you have written as an option, where the hell is 140bhp, 330nm, 2.2L XUV500? Not worth considering? Pseudo SUV? Can't off-road?

And pls tick S-cross off your list. Buy any car than this "wannabe-crossover", unless you wish to experiment with Nexa experience.

Mi10. Just like rksingh1, I would say Xuv500 AWD. It quick, fast, can take 5 Adults + 2 kids in comfort. Also, with AWD and its GC it should be able to take you to difficult places. Serious off-roading might not be possible.

And if you need some serious off-roader while sacrificing it being quick, with a shorter feature list, 5+2 kids and very comfortable ride, get Storme vx 4x4.

Otherwise, just borrow or rent a off-roader for those rare off-roadings, and get XUV AWD.

If its a hot Hatch you are looking for then it would be none other than Abarth Punto but you need to wait for at least another 3 more months. Else Polo TSI i hope that you would be satisfied with VW service as you are already owing a Penguin. But downside is the DSG you wont know what would happen when and lesser option of Remap.

If you are very much keen on the handling + Power + Reliability then it would be Abarth always.

He doesn't like the Facelifted Feminine look garnished XUV

He's not a offroader I know. When he means off roading, the vehicle should be able to handle the craters in places where there are no roads at all. For that the normal SUV itself would suffice. No true blood 4x4 or AWD is needed.

On the looks perspective Safari Storme now looks better to me rather than the face lifted XUV. Try Safari is what I would say. But remember XUV beats Storme in the handling department. Lesser body roll on the XUV as well.

Get the Innova. Pricey no doubt but checks all the boxes and more. Very comfortable, sedate cruiser on the highway albeit a bit noisy.

Get pre-facelift model. They should still have it. Don't like chrome? Remove it. Don't like grill - change it. Get W4 or W6 and add things they way you want. Its easy!

If you don't like it, you don't like!

      Interesting!

New XUV hasn't made me hate it that much as yet! I saw one silver and red on the road already and they looked lot more elegant than they seem in the showroom. Was it a head turner? Well, to me it was for sure. Elegance can look feminine! No issues with till it wow me with its performance and interiors!!

I am looking forward to Hexa as well!
