Lightbulb Glass coating or paint protection

Anybody here has experience with glass coating or paint protection which is available with various detailers nowadays. The kind of paint protection on which water don't stay there are various YouTube videos about it water or mud water just slips away from the car leaving the car body dry within seconds.

Please share your experiences if any with the same.

Annihilator you have opened the pandora's box combined with Alice in Wonderland. For best hydrophobic ability go with various sealants available like Sonax Polymer Net Shield, Ultima Paint Guard Plus, Four Star UPP. Most sealants have 6-12 months of durability. For Coating there is a wide range of coatings with wide range of durability as well as pricing. Search for coatings from Modesta, Carpro, Optimum etc. in this forum. Their durability ranges from 1-3 years. I have no experience with sealants or coating except Meguairs Sealant put on by the detailer which detailed my car first time, lasted 3-4 months.

For glass Proklear NGS seems to be a good option. I am not sure if it okay to use it on a brand new windshield yet.

I just googled the product & it seems to have a combo of a pre applicator glass scratch remover,i am assuming its a filler agent(welcome to be corrected). Are these effective in covering up tiny scratches that create problems in night driving?

      Pardon me if am OT

They are supposed to bond with glass at a molecular level. Not much of a coat.

They won't fill up scratches but they improve visibility at night.
