Heavy metal is still the best genre to test mid bass. Especially on tracks that feature double bass drum pedals. That will let you know how quick your woofer is.
yes gilead I am aware of these test track cds,I had about 100 free cds at home all had to be thrown away..been collecting at my place for almost 3years..they are good to test but pain to listen too..
these tracks do the same at the same time stress test the equipment..
Try young Jeezy's track - I put on for my city , it contains 20Hz -30Hz sine tone + total track bass is focussed around 40Hz so if that doesn't rock your subwoofer nothing will....

nice one haresh....woofer cooker was something logical..20hz tones mixed with 30 and 40hz tones also modulation varied..If your woofer is able to stand it...at high volumes..you got a good thing..but I dont think anything will come out without getting fried

As a major linkin park fan, i must mention a few of their good sq system songs.
Shadow of the day and leave out all the rest will test the bass.
What ive done is my all time favourite, the initial piano and chester's vocals after that will test the clarity of the speakers.
Numb and somewhere I belong are powerful songs that will test the vocals and the bass. Since the band uses a lot of distortion techniques, somewhere i belong is one song that will probably give you an idea of how the speakers can reproduce this.
Their best song for the speakers is Little things give you away. The orchestra they use towards the end of the song sounds simply amazing.

Wake me up when september ends by green day is another interesting bass testing song. I remember listening to this in shyam's car once with the hertz sub. Nice clean bass.
