    Blog/website ideas

    Hi all

I've recently been taking a lot of pictures of Mercs, Porsches, Ferraris etc I come across in everyday life and instead of just uploading them to Flickr, I am in the processing of designing a blog to display them. I just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on which approach I should take.

Given that I will not have driven any of these cars, it seems a little pointless to attempt a review style website, and given that the technical aspects of these cars are already widely available elsewhere on the web, it also seems a little pointless to post all of this up myself.

I guess this limits me to providing my own personal opinion and thoughts on the car in question, plus a few shots, and maybe the basic tech spec. Do you think there is anything I ought to exclude/include or focus on in particular?

    Thanks all

    SiL

Hm, dont know too much about this, but remember, traffic is going to be delivered by search engines to your upcoming blog. And as you rightly said, unless you have some unique content(text), it would be hard to "compete" with the established ones.

Maybe you could post the pictures and your take on what is unique to the location/picture/car?

Or, if this is just going to be a hobby, why bother about "success", just keep posting the pictures!

Ps. Why not share a few with us?

    Thanks Tadukuttan

That's pretty much what I was thinking - hard to provide anything unique except my own personal opinions and maybe a few words about the location. I'm not looking to build a highly popular blog - I just think it would be cool if the enjoyment I get from this hobby could be shared with other people.

Any preference for a particular car? I just missed the main Arab invasion this summer but still have a lot of decent ones I'm in the process of re-touching - Gemballa and Mansory Porsches, SLS AMG, a few TVRs (Tuscan is beautiful), pretty much every current Ferrari, Murcielago, a few Gallardos - London's great for car spotting!

No special preferences, although I like Ferraris more than anything else.

Cool, will get on it. Will probably be either a 458 Italia (my personal favourite) or a 360 Challenge Stradale!

Been working a lot recently but haven't forgotten this - currently retouching some pics of a Ferrari California - I'll do my best to have them up by the end of the week.

Apologies for the delay! A Ferrari California, as promised!

http://supercarsinlondon.blogspot.com Like I said, I have been extremely busy with work at the moment so this project has taken a bit of a back seat for now. The site is currently very rough looking and I need to flesh it out a lot more. As soon as time permits, I will get back on this. Any opinions would be welcome.
