How to clean the paint from windshield?

I have got some white paint* like thing on my windshield. After cleaning with water it has lightened. Colin failed to clean it as expected.

What can I use to clean it? Acetone?

It would be best if I could buy it online.

A related question - can I use soft tissue to clean windshield. I use microfibre cloth, but in case it is unavailable, would you use anything else?

*the paint like thing came from the leaky roof of office basement.

scrape it off using an old credit card if its on glass. Shouldnt be a problem.

never use any sort of paper products to clean the glass.

If it is on windshield you can easily go with petrol or diesel or use your wife's nail polish remover (without telling her that you are going to use it)

Yeah, nail Polish remover will work. SunnyBoi, why not to use use paper for cleaning the glass? Newspaper are typically the best for wiping the glass clean.

Well that sounds simple. I could use a Payback card to do it. So it could be useful for once. Also it would be useful to clean the bird poop.

I don't have petrol/diesel in bottle. How long can it be stored for?
Well I am not married yet . But I could arrange some polish remover. I hope it wouldn't require huge dabs of the solvent.

I have a 500 ml Bisleri bottle at home in which I have stored approx 250 ml of petrol for the past 1+ years. Just make sure you do not keep it in Kitchen or in a room where you use flame like pooja room etc.

A razor blade will scratch the glass. One idiot from 3M used it on my rear glass to remove the gum and there are scratches.

So keep away from blades and other sharp objects.

You can use a little ipa first on paint spots first and then use old card to clear it off. IPA will make it easy to remove also will prevent scratches from card. If you cant find ipa use alcohol swab easily available on chemist shop for 2-3 bucks per piece. Once you removed spot wash area with shampoo.

I dont know what kind of blades you use but I use one regularly on my windscreen to remove insects. I use a blade used to clean ceramic stove tops.
