I tried credit card to clean the paint, but it didn't work. I could have used more force, but it looked like it would be better if I clean it with remover/ipa first. This time I need to clean the windshield. I want to know if nail polish remover aka acetone OR isopropyl alcohol is safe for car body too? What if it spills or something?

Indian, the blade that I have doesn't seem safe for glass, so I wouldn't try it.

IPA solution is used in detailing for removing polish oils before sealant or wax application. If it spills on body and you clean it quickly with water it won't harm. Swabs thus play a safe role in this regard as you have direct application of it on spot. Rest all depends on your application process be it ipa or acetone. Had similar issue on rear glass, clay and clay lube workd like charm in that case for me.

The IPA is the best option and I have personally used and can confirm it works.
I would even suggest to remove any paint froma the body as well.
I even tried it on the sliding windows of my house and can confirm it works.
