I wanted the Scross 1.6 and dad wanted the creta. The scross 1.6 is available only in the top Alpha variant costing 14lakhs and the creta 1.6 is also somewhat the same price.
For the tight budget we have, we thought settling in for the Brezza ZDi+ OR Creta 1.4 Base or the Creta 1.4 S would be a smart option.

You were complaining of the Duster's handling, I'm surprised you are convinced with the Creta. Have a back to back TD of both, you'll see the difference. I was in the same dilemma as you, last year the same time. I almost zeroed in on the base 1.6 creta, a friend of mine came along with me for the TD of the Creta and steered me away from it. I'm really happy with my Duster, the ODO's crossed 34K and its munching with ease, a little disappointed with the mileage though, getting only 15 with a soft foot a little enthusiastic drive will pull that figure down to 13-14, I heard the 85PS is good in terms of mileage and initial acceleration. If you want to steer away from the Duster because of their outdated looks, from your choices - I would opt for the Brezza ZDI or if the Creta is still what you want at least stretch your budget for the 1.6 engine. The next best car on my list would be the Eco Sport, infact that was the best car in my TD list, I had to drop it just because of the small boot.

      Good luck on your search.

kanna.sridharan I havnt mentioned anything about the Cretas handling, the car as a whole is lovely. Handling was "okayish" . Ride quality was not the best, same rubbery bouncy setup as the verna and i20.
Now, about the Duster. I have test driven the car, Handled well even on rough terrain, looked very dull inside and out, but the looks dont matter to me. But it somehow does not cut it for me and dad.
This vehicle is for my dad and he will the one driving it to work on a daily basis (close to 70km a day) and Will be using the ferry to work.
Best option interms of Least Overhang, best mileage and Enough Power and space is the Brezza.

      Please don't mind my doubt?
I'm not aware of this ferry transportation. Is it a boat where you load your car and then traverse waterways?
If so, can you give some details about the ferry. I'm curious and don't know much about it.

Usually a flat bedded wide boat. It will carry passengers and vehicles.

There will be a ramp to board. On one side there will be a downward sloping road to the boat and then this upward sloping ramp. Any vehicle with a long overhang will get it stuck/broken in the angle between the the road and ramp.

Booked the Vitara brezza Zdi+ on Friday, waiting period is max 3 months but hoping for the car to get dispatched soon.
The colour i opted for was Pearl Arctic White + Met Black roof.

Theres a sports kit included in the price, includes some ugly chrome garnishes, seat cover, mats, vinyl graphics, etc. Instead i convinced them to get me a bass tube w 2channel amp fitted along with seat covers, mats and the non chrome bits 😁

Now since it has roof rails, is there a way i can get a led bar fitted on the roof ?
