Swift Dzire VDI For Paid Service

    Hello forum,

my Dzire vdi completed 16000km. first free service was done at 5k and then 10k (with engine OIL Change). next free service is due at 20k.

i was thinking to change the engine oil at every 5k, shall i do that in this service? and engine oild wold be Mobil Synthetic.

i don't find any major problems to address in this service, few small problems are

    1. AC Smell bad when switch on. ( only when i use blower for hours and then switch to AC)
    2. Engine Noise increasing day by day.
    3. Few Rattling sounds in cabin. especially from left door.

let me know, what all this things i should ask MASS people to check? and engine oil change is necessary?

    thanks in advance

    Using synthetic is pointless.
Change oil every 5k if you're paranoid like me.
    I used mobil delvac MX.
Should cost 170-180rs per liter. You'll need three liters. Never more. Actually, insist on using 3 one liter cans, because, then they wont be able to overfill the oil and damage your turbo.
Ideally, you change the oil filter too, but that overkill on top of overkill. Will jack up your running costs too.

I would agree with Doc and suggest you stay away from Synthetic oils. A good mineral oil change at frequent intervals of 5k should be sufficient.

Check if the AC ducts are blocked by dust.

Engine noise seems to vary from car to car. The tappet noise on 1001bhp's car is way way more than my car. My car almost feels *silent* in front of his. I am really not sure why. And his car has way less low end torque than my car. The sections I drive my car in 3rd gear, he has to downshift into 2nd.

Isn't it 3.2 liters for all multijet engines? I use 3.2 liters on every oil change.

3.1 liters is what the manual says.
Maruti's circular says more than 3l is not required.
2.9l is sufficient if the oil filter is not being changed.
mclaren1885-how does MASS measure 3.2 liters for you? I can bet no one is using a beaker or a pippete. Actually, i'd feel comfortable if they did because the turbo on this car is so sensitive to overfilling.
Which is why i prefer handing over 3 one liter cans and watching them fill it in front of me. It becomes idiot proof.

hello guys my dzire mileage dropped to 13 kmpl and highway 15 kmpl (100% ac on) checked yesterday. i was getting good mileage. don't what may be the reason.

    1. city driving max speed 40-60km, daily 30+km.
    2. nitrogen filling 34psi for every 4 months
    3. Diesel fill tank to tank in same Indian Oil Petrol bunk

i am worried, what is reason for mileage drop?

How many kms has it run? Is the air filter clogged? It needs cleaning every 5k in our country's environment.

@manju, I guess it is due to the filter that is causing the problem.
I have a Dzire VDi too which is run for 19200 kms as on now, its 15 months from the showroom. My ride is due for a 20k service sooner.
I am having the same problem of less mileage speacially after 17000kms. I tried changing the fuelling stations with IOCL, tried shell, HP but of no use. It still gives me 13-14 kmpl. There are few more issues such as
    1. I travel on the the Same road, same time, almost same number of vehicles usually ride in 3rd gear. Offlate after 18000kms i need to get down to 2nd gear. Do not know the reasons. Tried speaking to the SA @ MASS. No solution found yet.
    2. Grunt/Noise when revved up has increased after 18500 kms. Again do not know the reason. Is my ride crying to be serviced aloud?

I stay close to Maratahalli, near Carnation. I want to change the oil to Mobil Delvac MX, can anyone point me to shops where I can buy the oil from nearby. Or do I have to visit JC Road?
