Hi friends.....last week after getting my Willys....i found the battery was discharged. so got the battery charged at battery shop to find that alternator isn't charging. opened the alternator to find that the commutator were in bad shape and one carbon brush was broken. since it was a specialized job so had taken it to a local service guy and in his presence i did the repair works.....now he has become a good friend. The alternator is charging again and fitted back. In addition i also changed the voltage regulator with Lucas one as the old one had fragile electrical cables which might have given trouble later. The carging is now highly stable and nice flow of current. the engine is more smooth now as it is getting full current and voltage.

Love the old horse and admire the attention that gets bestowed on it. Please put as many snaps as you can. The jeep is droolworthy.

I have not been around and got tied with some official stuff. It's good to be back here and expecting more updates from your end.

A great find today....finally I could find the original cork oil sump gasket...not one but two. Picked up both for just 200/- INR. Had been looking for this since a long long time. Now I can fix the oil leak which used to be very embarrassing at times as Jeep use to mark her territory where ever it used to go. Heres the pic-
