You only need the injector calibration if you have got the emission update, i guess. And good luck in finding the motul xclean Last time when my oil change was due, i gave up on xclean as it was getting so difficult to source and changed to motul xcess . It performing fine with the xcess and clocked around 6k km. It even reduced the oil consumption issue of xclean.

Nope. Not necessary. Tadu had explained this earlier it's been done in all the VW post diesel scandal. Engine clatter has considerably reduced thereon.

Y'day, someone representing Skoda calls me again and says sternly something like "We need a emission update for your car. I need the car for 2 hours". Pathetic try!

Please help me understand. What is that big incentive for them which makes them desperate ? They are conjuring now.

A 14 percent fuel consumption increase would have been noticed long time back. Not sure if anyone reported that here in India..

In india it was only reported about the loss of performance at mid and high end and higher FE. And also more fuel will make it smoke as they restricting the air with the flow transmitter.

Got a call from ASC to get the update, as usual I said no. The SA didnt ask for my reason and he said, '' sir i know why you dont want update, it is because of fuel pump ( dont remember the exact part name) failure, dont worry sir , VW is giving a special warranty''. I said car is out of warranty , for that he said this is for cars which get update.

So it seems it creates some problems in the car parts too.
