I am unable to return the system so I will try as Lvramanan said to get an amp/AVR.

Please suggest a good amp/AVR for my system around $500AUD.

This situation is the exact issue i am concerned about while buying home theaters

Seller Thinks, Buyer knows what he is buying, Anyway it is his money
Buyer Thinks, Seller knows what he is selling, anyway I can go back to him.

One ends up becoming a system integrator and ends up over spending the money and time, under utilizing the system, there is always a feeling of "something missing" in the system despite spending money, time, energy.

Of course, at the low end, there are integrated solutions, but they do not give good performance and listening pleasure. There are very high end systems, they are well integrated, provide good listening pleasure, but mostly closed, not open for add-ons as needed, command higher than deserving price tag for a not so flexible/modifiable system.

If one has passion for tinkering around and trying out few options by spending own money, this self system integration approach is good. One's parent's might tolerate the chaos it would bring into the living room, one's wife will not. So please tread this line with caution.

Yeah I agree with you too but then I'm stuck in this situation and the only way to get out of it is to get a amp/AVR to start this thing up

Why AUD ? You're gonna get it from Aussie ? Are you OK with the warranty not applicable clause if imported to India (assuming you will be using in India) ? Also Aussie is not a good market for these Home Audio. Sometimes things are bit expensive than in India ! You can look at Marantz, NAD, Cambridge, Yamaha, Denon, Onkyo or Pioneer (as a last option) Receiver to start with. 500 AUD works out approx 25K INR & you would get only entry level average A/V receivers in this budget. Not all the brands I mentioned will be available at this budget / price point. As pointed out by Jack Sparrow start with a Stereo setup. But again, with your current speakers you won't get much of a good output. Look around your place for Hifi sound dealers / distributors & see if you find any good deals for A/V receivers. You can have a look at Hifi Mart as a reference for the A/V receivers available here in India.

The reason is that I live in Australia and this setup will be here and I might be able to stretch the budget to $700AUD.
