      Planning to buy Ford Freestyle

I am planning to exchange my ageing Toyota Liva Diesel (1.4 lac kms still running very good but got bored with a few niggling issues..) with Ford Freestyle Diesel.

Initial test drive is mind blowing but yet to check high speed stability( I put my current car in 140+ and it handles very well)

Any owners in the forum already? Please let me know your thoughts on this car.
It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.

My family feel the same. Just came back from the test drive of Diesel Freestyle; I wasn't impressed with the braking performance and the car is wafty high speeds making it very uncomfortable. This is direct contrast with Petrol version which I test drove initially. Petrol version has impressive braking and handling though. Freestyle diesel is ruled out... No wonder there is no media / test drive report talking about the diesel version. Ford needs to do some testing of the diesel version for sure considering the added weight.

I will take a TD of Ecosport and decide further.

      Hmm that doesnt sound good
Even first gen XUV, pre-facelift Creta, previous gen Fortuner had similar issues
Aftermarket mods may help but its not worth it when there are so many options available

Any reason why sedans such as Verna are not considered or even Creta lower variants?
They have fairly well loaded packages across variants and should be within your budget and requirements
Not to mention the option of a very smooth, refined diesel AT
