      Wheel step

I was at the VW dealer to repair my chipped windscreen and I saw the guy standing on one of these. I left with one. Perfect for me to be able to clean the windscreen without risking a fall when I stand on the front tyre. Should be useful for people who have roof racks or a box.

      What kind of chipped windscreen?

I also have a small 2cm round chipped mark on drive side of mine car's windscreen.
No crack lines, have driven in heavy rain but no leakage either.
I am in dilemma whether I should replace the windscreen or leave it.

For now use Feviquick to fill in the crack and let it cure and wipe out the excess. It should hold for some time. Avoid parking on the open sunlight for long otherwise the crack will start developing even further.

Then I guess better I replace the windscreen. Its rainy season now and if the windscreen breaks in mid of any rainy day drive then the road-car will turn into 'Black Pearl' sailing under the sea.

A stone hit my windscreen and made a 3 mm chip mark and it cracked to a length of about 2 mm on each side. They drilled from the outside and applied some glue with vacuum. I see only a tiny spot of about 1 mm now and i have to look for it.
This repair is for free as insurance companies pay for it. I just go to any shop and they do the repair and bill the insurance company.
They don't repair if the damage is in the drivers field of sight or if size of the damage is over 6 mm.
