After modifying my car audio system with some excellent end results now its time to do some DIY stuff for my kid. I bought this overnight sensation kit almost four ago from states but my busy schedule was not letting me to do it.

I plan to build a boombox using this kit and Alpine CDA 9853. There is one mp3/usb/sd card audio module (without bluetooth) with me which my son wants to install as well for usb and memory card stored songs.

I have already built both crossovers and right now I am looking for 220-12V 50-100 W power supply. This build will take some time and as of now I have only two questions

1. There are two types of supplies are avaiable online, laptop adapter like and switch type. Which one is more efficient and better for long run? I don't plan to use 12V battery. What about decent quality desktop psu?

2. For Audio module do I need to buy a 12-12V power supply which can give 1-2 A which are enough for this audio module.
