Problem - AA doesn't work appropriately with notch phones.

Gents,

I've recently bought my first notch phone i.e. POCO F1. As it contains type C port, so bought a aftermarket TYPE C cable for my XUV as well.

Well when I connected my phone to XUV HU via USB cable (normal process to connect AA). But Android Auto screen was showing in cinema scope mode. After discussion with few members I did everything to resolve issues like factory reset of HU and POCO F1. Changing the cable to OEM but nothing worked.

Feeling frustrated, I contacted POCO F1 customer care and he shamelessly replied me that POCO F1 doesn't support Android Auto. He doesn't know the reason and he don't know when it will be resolved. He shared a link with me on their forum where people facing problem with AA on POCO F1 and Mi8 phones.

I raised a ticket with them and also hunted AA forum. I found that all notch phones have this problem. Right from OP6 to Huawei notch phones. Google is aware about this issue yet no solution. Some of the manufacturer like OP6 have created a workaround but that's far from perfect.

I just wanted to make you aware that if you use AA extensively, stay away from notch phones until problem is resolved.
