      Is it time to CHANGE?

Had an issue with oil filter and cooler assembly in April this year. Suddenly coolant got emptied and temperature rose. Car alarmed me and stopped by the road. Spent some 4.5 K to get the new part and changed everything despite being a Sunday. Thanka to my regular technician who helped me.

And yesterday was driving back from Kanchipuram to Bangalore. Crossed Attibele and similar alarm went up. Realised to see my radiator plastic L bend got cut near the engine head assembly ensuring the last drop of coolant is dried.

Not sure if the above indicate that am stretching the life of the car?

      Model: Vista 2012
      Fuel: Diesel
      Engine: Quadrajet
      Kms Run: 142000+
      Single hand Use by self

What are the other such parts/hoses which needs t ol be checked apart from regular checks on engine, clutch, suspension, steering ends etc..

Cuts and bends in hoses are preventive maintenance which should be suggested by mechanics. Normal layman may not be aware of life of these kind of things.

Yes, if there is a itch to change, you may do so.. Aaah.. the smell of new car is something to enjoy while it lasts.

If one hose rots, it might be time to change the lot. Do you use antifreeze in the coolant?

Yeah. Guess I need to get a hose overhauling. No I don't use antifreeze coolant. I use the normal one.
