Sir, its not about how much you know or how much I know. Its about sharing knowledge which generally most don't want to share, specially in case of outdated technology.

Sir neither do I belong to "KITNA DETI HAI" group....else I wouldn't be riding or driving fuel guzzler bikes or 4 wheelers. However I always log the fuel records to keep an eye on health of engine.

Well its a matter of personal choice some like technical modifications, some like JHANKAR BEATS, some like bling stuff...its totally peronal. A person like me always try to bring back the glory to the stock condition with NOS parts as in most cases the production is ceased some 30-40 years ago.

Everyone has there share of fun the way they want. But if I know something technical I would love to share the knowledge. Since you said its running rich I asked how can u say so? may be I missed something and could have learnt from u...so I expect members to share the knowledge for the benefits of others. Hope you have not taken it personally...thats not the aim.

Thanks for posting it here...nice article...and educative one. But my point is still not answered. How did rahulsharma_7 figured out that my bike required a jetting?...Just by seeing old and new plug(which I posted as comparison) how did he get to know that bike is running WAY TOO RICH, as per my understanding what ever little I know is that Jetting is required only if there is change in ports carried out, or there's some driving issues at certain RPMs and certain gears. In my case my bike is absolutely stock and there are no drive ability issues either. In any case thanks for nice article its gonna stay here...for more people to learn.

By looking at the spark plug.
You would not have asked this question if you had read the article and seen the spark plug pics in it.

which plug you are referring to? there are two plugs ....are you referring to the plug which is lighter in color? meaning lean mixture..... or the plug which is darker? meaning rich mixture......Now am confused!!! Kindly clarify what are you both trying to say?

If it's anything the current plug looks leaner, isn't it?
Also not sure if i can infer from the oil around the plug threads probably your pump is feeding too much oil making the mixture lean?

Edit: even i like the idea of looking at economy figures to know if bike is running alright . But in my case my ride is limited to short runs separated by weeks hence difficult to keep track. By the way it's been atleast 2 years bike has been 'serviced' . All I do is fill fuel oil mix and top up tyre air pressure.

You are spot on....that's what I was also thinking...but since I changed the plug from stock i.e NGK BP7HS TO CHAMPION L92YC I wasn't sure of new plugs behavior....more over dragstar and rahulsharma_7's post made me think where I was going wrong as they were saying its rich mixture. Will adjust the air screw a bit to make it bit rich and see the performance.

Again true...although in one ltr of oil it has done about 800 kms which I think is okayish considering Pune's traffic and speed which is generally around 40-50 kmph. However the oil pump is still having a leak due its inner O ring, still waiting to get the Genuine seal. Then will sort out the pump as well...and calibrate it to factory specs.

Thats the best way to keep a check on engine health.

I can understand....same or similar is the case with me, use it only for joy rides, and the desire to have a stock RX100 in my stable.

Now the question is....can this leakage be stopped with change of Inner O Ring? or any other suggestion(s) apart from changing the pump(which I will in case its not solved....I want to keep it as stock only)
