      My father first car was premier padmini. But I know some Fiat owners who do not go to Fiat dealer for service. This might be common for many other manufacture as well to save money as dealer are usually expensive. But IMO Fiat has given up on Indian market for sometime. With low sales and even less people going to service it is sort of difficult for Fiat dealer to survive. Even Skoda is surviving by updating their car and trying to improve the warranty/service.

      We Indians actually ditched fiat for Mileage, ASS what not. With Kitna Deti hai and what is the resale value dominating car purchase at every house it's quite hard to appreciate cruise control, high GC with zilch body roll + many that are offered on Lineas 7 years back. Still competitors cannot match what Linea offers at a very cheaper price. So there's absolutely no point in FCA renovating/investing in Lineas and same applies for Punto and avvy too. For Indians Celerio X is called a cross over. Period. Sad for Fiat. Fiat cars are like inter caste marriage girls in Indian household who can never be accepted in Indian family-marriage setup that easily.

      Well, I don't think FIAT closing shop for sales should be a surprise. It was quite clear as they didn't brought any new(completely new) model from FIAT stable after Punto/Linea.
      I will by happy that there will be FASS via MOPAR service at least.
      Even for Jeep, i don't know what is taking them so long to introduce a completely new model and capitalize on the Compass success.

      Like what? dealership network, basic features like reverse camera, android auto, apple carplay, proper driver seat ergonomics etc ?
      Nah dont blame others for Fiats downfall, they dilly dallied
      Id say even Chevrolet and VW tried harder

      Blue and me, Auto headlights, auto wiper, high GC with almost nil body roll (post 2012), under body metal shield, HPS setup plus cruise control and all the attention to detail that are in fiat since 2009 in India.       Dealership network? For the sale figures of Linea and Punto they had just enough I think. But Jeepers also join us now and they should now be bothered more than us.
      Driver seat has been elaborated a lot in forums. But such are the fiatians who have taken their fiats to K2K, Ladakh kind of marathon drives thousands of Kms why even cross country drive to Paris in a Linea. No body complained that as a setback!

      I doubt if fiat can re create the magic of Punto, Linea especially with steering feedback and metal thickness in 2019 in case they intend to stay in India. Better exit market than digressing from their way of making cars.
      The biggest blunder they did was to join with Tata for sales and service. There is Punto alongside a less cost Vista. There is Linea alongside Manza.
