There a few variations of the steering wheel controls available for Creta and i20

Even the OEM ones are available but they cost significantly more.

These ones cost me about 1800 for a set of two that work absolutely perfectly with the HU

Yes the Cruise control buttons don't function. I'm planning to get the OEM ones installed on my next visit to the installer along with the Climate Control Panel

You can even get the auto folding side view mirror assembly with the required switch and relay easily and it's all plug an play.

I also got a nice set of seat covers done which are not pictured here. Some nice details like the edges/borders matching the dashboard color and really nice snug fit to them.

Congrats Man on the car, the color looks nice, how is the quality of aftermarket accesories, did you add any till now - I would love to see how long they last in comparison to OEM ones. Any warranty (electronics)issues you may encounter due to these with Hyundai?

All the accessories added to the car are aftermarket only Hopefully they will last a long time. I did make sure everything was only plug and play option so no tampering was done to the wiring.

The first thing I wanted to get for the setup was the source unit.

After trying a plethora of digital sources in various setups over the years, I somehow wanted a simpler arrangement to using the system everyday. A good Analog source with clean signal and easy to use interface and not having to fiddle with multiple external sources like DAP or Phone etc and just comfortably use the steering wheel controls was the thing I wanted this time. Not to mention this makes the setup easy to use for others in the family.

I wanted a 2-din, have an easier to navigate interface for my library, preferably dual USB support or USB + SD Card , FLAC and good BT performance.

The default choice for most of these features was a Pioneer 2-din but somehow have never been happy with their sound quality in the recent models. Alpine was one option but nothing ticked the boxes I wanted.

Some digging around on DIYMA and YouTube introduced me to the new Kenwood series. Some rave reviews including from those having used the unit in competitions as well.

It has possibly all the features I wanted and then some more.

Capacitive Screen
HD (720p) Display
Anti-Glare
Dual USB
Support for High-Res files.
Support for NTFS formatted HDD
Android Auto, Car Play
High quality construction
Updated and super easy to use interface and quick one too
HDMI Input
2-Way Active + Subwoofer setup support
Turning off the unit actually turns off the remote turn out signal as opposed to Pioneer

Of course the well appreciated quality of Bluetooth made it a no brainer to get this unit.

Plus the unit worked perfectly with the aftermarket steering wheel controls without requiring any additional interface. It came with the small adapter to just wire up the adapter to the factory wiring.

All thanks to hareshjethwani for getting this unit and piyush7243 for helping with the research and reviews and comparing with other options.

I got the required adapters, dash kit, backup camera as soon as the car was booked

On a side note I wish had kept my patience and maybe gotten a better dashkit from a brand like DHC or something else. The current kit is flimsy and does not hold the HU in well. I've seen kits with 3 mounting points for the HU whereas this one has just 2 that can come loose :/

Will get the dash kit changed from a better source next time we open the dash.

Hope this helps others looking to ICE their creta.

A bit of caution for the Kenwood 9018S or similar Kenwood users. Please read the manual at least once before you do an active setup from it.

The pre-out are stacked in this order from top to bottom when doing a normal front - rear- sub setup:

Rear
Front
Sub

As with the norm or general trend or convention of wiring the amplifiers in Active mode we would usually connect the tweeters to the Front pre out, Mids to Rear and Sub to Sub which in the above case would be

Mids - Rear Pre out
Highs- Front Pre-out

On the Kenwood on the other hand the layout of the pre-outs in the Active mode is:

Highs (where the Rear Pre out is)
Mids ( on the Front pre-out)
Sub

Could very well be a minor thing for others but better to be sure about the wiring schematics from the manual once before going on with it

karanbhatia Is there a way to get the OE aux-in and USB ports to work with Kenwood 9018 (or any aftermarket) unit?
