      Speakers for denon 1500AVR

      Guys
looking for suitable speakers for denon 1500AVR
I have checked various options like polk audio signature series, but they are very expensive.I visited a home theater showroom where they have own production of speakers and subwoofers .They are using peerless drivers.
I was blown away by the experience....it was awsome

they have quoted 35K for a pair of book shelf speakers where its drivers cost only 10% in diyaudio cart...
So to keep the cost low i plan to make myself the front, surround and center speakers....
Regarding the subwoofer i plan to buy polk audio HS10.

I need your valuable suggestions and help for selecting the correct set of speakers.

      Cheers

Did you get the schematics for the speakers they built? I suppose not. It is very hard to get that same performance without knowing the exact drivers used, enclosure and crossover designs. And not to forget the expertise required.
If it is your first DIY I will suggest to keep your hopes little low. I am not trying to discourage you from DIY.
For a first time DIY best is to look for tried and tested models which can be easily found on Google and diyaudio.com. They post all the things you require to replicate that same performance.
If going DIY route, I think it will make sense to even build the subwoofer as a DIY.
      Best of luck.

Try Taga Harmony. They're very good and inexpensive as well.

Wonderful choice. Looks like you bit the bullet and went for signature range. How much did S20, S15 and S35 cost?

Did you auditon T15 from Polk Audio too? How was your experience with Klipsch and ELAC, if you got to listen to them.

Dumb questions : Can the same bookshelf speakers be connected to surround channel for surround sound?

Can a simple speaker be used for Atmos? Don't we need Atmos certified speakers for that?
