    Nice pics indeed.

I'm also keen on doing Thanjavur/Trichy and other temples in TN as well, so I'll keep watching this thread.

How did you find the Trichy-Tanjore stretch ? Has the construction work almost completed ? It used to be a mess earlier.

Yeah, Trichy- Tanjore stretch is superb except for the starting in Trichy and in Tanjore. Its completely 4 laned except for some kms.. In this trip, used this Full Stretch 3 Times!!!

    Day 1: Bangalore to Pondicherry

    DAY 1
Its 30/10/2010 and I return from School to home at 12pm. Ate Lunch and did some route preparations. At last, we Start at 13:20 from Home.
We reach Madiwala by 13:50 and hoped that traffic is less and we will be able to zoom to Krishnagiri.Hoped that it would rain but it didn't.

By 15:40 we are at Krishnagiri. Roads from Bangalore to Krishnagiri is my usual and this time it took 1 hour 50 minutes from Madiwala. Quite late because we took a break of 10 mins and also a Petrol Break.
Climate was pretty good and I could capture some good pics. Yes, as I hoped, the Wagon R was smooth as silk. No problems what so ever...

Hell Starts after Krishnagiri for the next 110 kms. Our initial plan was to reach Mayiladuthurai in the Night via Pondy and Chidambaram.
Believe it or Not, we took 3 hours for the 100 kms stretch, thanks to one major accident between two buses which caused traffic and took 20 mins to clear.

Climate was good here too and traffic was not too high, but I lost Patience with the Craters sized Potholes everywhere on this Stretch.
At last we reach Tiruvanamalai by 18:40 in the evening.

Tiruvanamalai to Tindivanam was the same as before, we had no problems and were quite relived after the bumpy Tiruvanamalai ride. We reach Tindivanam by 20:10.

I was waiting for the 4 lane to start and it did come soon. As we Leave Tindivanam, Plans change, and we decided to stay somewhere in Pondicherry or Cuddlore.
The 4 lanes were a superb beauty. I couldn't get good pics as it was night, but managed some poor quality ones.

We enter Pondicherry by 8:50 in search of a Place to stay. No good hotels so we first planned to eat Dinner somewhere. After Dinner we could get a room in one hotel which was just Okay.
TOTAL 316 kms driven in this day which consumed probably 6 and a half hours driving time, all because of stupid Tiruvanamalai roads.
