The Hyundai is strictly a 3+1. The 4th gear is through the 'Overdrive button'. However, the down side is that you cannot select '3' and have engine braking.

IMO the i20 is a very practical city car and the small dimensions and spacious interiors with the ease of driving will suit you dad.
8-8.5L will give you the top model its the best you can get in that segment.

Is your Santro's color a Matt brown color. Equipped with projectors and LEDs?
I saw an i20 Magna P auto yesterday. So maybe you can get the Auto in any trim you desire.
