Updating the thread after.... yup, 7 months.

The car has clocked few more KMs during this time (closing in on 15K). The three free services are now over. The long drives - once a month are still on and hey, most importantly, the car is still a beauty...

As I mentioned in my re-intro thread, I am planning to pursue further full time education in Europe. I will be outside India for one year in college and after that, may be, a couple of years more in the region for work.

There are two tough sacrifices I will have to make to go through this phase:
1. Staying away from my family for the first year. I am used to travel for short trips - 2 days to 2 months, however one year with only one possible visit in between, looks very tough.

2. Selling my black beauty - well, this is something I am not yet come to terms and I am finding out ways to retain the car. However, it does not make much sense to retain it as (a) my wife does not drive the car, (b) the car still has outstanding loan, so it adds to monthly outgo which will significantly be felt during the first year when I am not going to be earning and (c) There is a good chance that I will not return to India immediately after first year.

Now, I think I should be able find some solution for item no 1. But, I don't know how I should tackle the item no 2. I will request your views / suggestions on the same.

Ideally, I would like to retain the car till Sept 1st week (I'll be leaving in 2nd week of Sept). However, I am fine with selling the car much earlier rather risking no-sell. The car is on my name and the process of selling the car after I leave will be much complex.

After a lot of research and planning, we decided to stick to our comfort zone for the most duration of the trip. The result was that our 3 night 4 days trip was divided in 2 nights stay at Diveagar (Dolphin, where else?

) and 1 night at Shrivardhan.

What we like the most about Konkan (and thus we keep going back to it) is the hospitality of the locals. The people are warm and help the visitors in every which way. Be it the food or additional things that you need in your room, they will provide you. Anyway, enough of gratitude and let me start with the photolouge.
