Simple way to increase intake in air filter?

Yeah right. Any pointers to if I can get a universal one locally or should I build one like in that thread? BTW, since you already had the baffle, why did you remove the return line? Was the gunk there still?

you should be able to score a baffle box in a scrapyard or from another engine. just add it somewhere in line between the engine and the manifold.

you should find universal catch cans on eBay or a lot of tutorials on making one yourself. I would go the catch can route.

I removed my PCV hose just for the heck of it. didnt want blow by mixing with the intake charge. there wasnt a lot of gunk in my manifold anyway.
