Delvac MX - ~3000Kms, but it sounded a lot rougher even immediately after the oil change

GTX diesel - Sounds less noisy than the Delvac Immediately after, remains to be seen how long it holds up ( ~1500Kms yet and counting)
The key to keeping an indica happy is not in the engine oil, but in using system D religiously with the fuel . I strayed away a bit recently and have since repented
so which oil you suggest for Indica Turbo...and what is that system D u r suggesting to use with fuel....

I dont think Chevron is closing, at least the dealer whom you got the oil from says no, it is not closing. Not sure why/where that started. Maybe somebody else will know here.
They are definitely out of the lubes business in India.

Delo-400 was the best oil available out there in my opinion.I have switched to Mobil Delvac MX since then.

      Thanks,

The only oil that meets the spec (API CH-4 & above) for your VDi is Mobil Delvac 1 in my opinion. But its weight is 5W-40.So might be too light for Indian climate !

Delo 400 is still available in the market, and the local dealer insists that it will be available "for ever". Hope it stays that way!

I think Shell Helix Ultra is API-CH4. Are you sure the Swift Diesel needs only CH4?

If your car is stock, do you really need fully synthetic? Delvac 1 will do fine. Then there is a shell helix for diesels i think. And ofcourse, my fav, OWS turboracing. Which is really pricey, but works brilliant!
If you are willing, you could try the mineral oil, Delvac MX and change every 5k.it'll run fine for 10k even, but for excessively paranoid people like us ......

i would be satisfied with mobil but its jus that the guys here in MASS use castrol. i had used mobil initially but later found it difficult to source here. And i jus wanted to give OWS a try.Whether it lives up to its hype. And i ve no idea about the delvac Mx.Wat has been its reviews?
