    Maruti - CERVO

If you are planning to Buy new car wait for this CERVO at the price of NANO.

Just got this info from a friend of mine.

Maruti Cervo is another compact car which is all set to pass Alto and Wagon-R. Maruti is a leader for small car market but the launch of Tata Nano has heavily affected the sales of Maruti 800 in the cheapest category. Look wise, Maruti Cervo is even more attractive then TATA Nano.

Maruti Cervo will be priced in the range of Rs 1.5 to 2 lacs and TATA Nano priced range is around 1.3 Lacs. It is a five door mini car that comes with 54bhp power in the front and 660cc patrol engine and 64Nm of torque. The engine of Maruti Cervo offers peppy performance with great fuel efficiency.

The Maruti Cervos interior looks like new Maruti Swift. Maruti Cervo has comfortable front semi-bucket seats, sporty headlamps and fog lamps, Bluetooth capability and 4-speed auto gearbox K6A DOHC engine with VVT.

Technical Specifications of Maruti Cervo Car:

    Fuel Type: Petrol
Engine Description: 60-65 bhp and K6A DOHC engine with VVT Engine Displacement(cc): 660

Seating Capacity: 5 Number of Doors: 4
    Gears: 4-Speed

    Maruti Cervo Price:
The Ex-show room Price of Maruti Cervo:
    Maruti Cervo - Rs 150,000 - Rs 200,000 ( Delhi & Mumbai Ex-Showroom Price)

I seriously doubt that this car will come under 2L, given its engine displacement and interiors i don't think so it will be sold below Alto. I guess it should come in between Alto and A-Star.

Even if the final onroad price comes to around 2.5L it is worth the buy rather than Nano IMO

I guess it wont come at 2.5L, reason are listed below.

    1. Who will give a car equipped with a VVT engine for 2.5L and that too with 65 BHP of power??
    2. Even the Alto K10 and new 1.2 K-series engines doesn't has VVT
    3. Maruti or Indian market considers VVT as a premium technology then how will they offer this for a cheaper car??
    4. Martui offers VVT only in Sx4

Looks inspired by the Jazz. I think it will be put to fill up the gap between the A-star & Swift.

If its OTR price is less than 2.5 lakhs then certainly it will take crown from alto as largest selling car but AFAIK its a day dream.

I am sure that this will be >2.5 - 3L for sure. Even if it is launched, i am sure Maruti will stop Alto or A-star. This way Maruti is not Shooting themselves.
