What do you mean by Dragging

Frankly speaking, I had no idea of about dragging. When I understood something about drag race, I didn't know that there are so much technical things involved in this. In my mind, it was just shifting up gears by taking the car to the max RPM.

there are lots of avid draggers. they are just too disinterested in concocting up technical sounding stuff about a simple sport when so many people have explained the same thing over and over again.

AFAIK, the origin of the word 'drag' in drag racing is believed that the racers tend to 'drag' their engines in a gear as much as possible.
