Last night i dreamt of a turbo polo.. now that i have this bug stuck in my head, i have some questions..

How much boost can the stock internals take ?
    I am looking for power from 3k - 6krpm
What turbo , intercooler, bov should i go for ?
and finally the approx build cost ?
I drive way too fast to worry about cholesterol.

Ah! It gets repetitive in my case

Approximately 6psi would be a safe bet.

You would need a relatively large turbo if you want it to spool at 3k.

Turbo - Something bigger than the GT25. Maybe a T3/T4 or even a IHI VF24.
    Intercooler - PWR.
BOV - Greddy S Type/HKS SSQV/Apexi Spec II - You cannot go wrong with any of these. Personally I love the way the Blitz sounds.

~2-3L. No cutting corners. A neat professional build is what you should be looking at.

Full Turbo kit, good tyres, stiffer springs or even better a complete coil over kit. The rest would depend on how much power/boost he wants to run.

Let it be a dream itself!

I was expecting it to be under 1.5 Lacs only for the turbo setup..

You could manage it, IF you go with a smaller turbo. Ideally speaking the approximate cost break up for brand new parts would be like this.

    1. Turbo - 40-50k from Garett or IHI.
    2. BOV - 15k.
    3. Intercooler - 20k.
    4. Clutch - 15k.
    5. Hoses - 10k.
    6. Exhaust manifold - 15-20k.
    7. Piping etc - 10k.
    8. Tuner charges + Labour etc - 10-20k depending on who does it.
    9. Misc stuff - 10-20k.

Like binz said RRP might have a Turbo Drive package for under 2L. You may want to explore that option.

I sourced the parts myself for my turbo kit, so it worked out a lot cheaper.

Turbodrive package was 1.6l, but that varies car to car i think.

What parts do you have stumpy?

The old stuff only man, IC, BOV, manifold, clutch. A friend is coming down from NZ in a few months, have asked him to bring down a turbo. Hoping that by then, I will be able to sort out the rest of the issues on the car.
