Childhood memories... My Dad owned one and I learned driving in that scooter...
Hi GH's,
It's a beautiful memory........I started learning through vijay scooter, after that by rx100......
They used to be the hottest scooters in the good old days. There were guys doing a lot of mods on them and were even used on track. one of the track favs in those times.
Probably the Vespa NV was the next biggest thing. But, funny thing is the bajaj chetaks sold the most till they were sold, even with the tilt me before you ride me feature!
My dad owned a lambretta, hardly used clocked about 2 odd K. My attempt ( 2nd std.) to self learn resulted in the scooter pinning me to the garage wall. It was given off to someone who used to pester my dad almost every day for almost 2 years. sold rather. ( Was glad my dad dint take an uncles advice of saving it up for me to ride to college, Now, I am not sure about the saving it up bit, But very clear about it not being my college ride)

The Hermit, My dad has a 1985 Mark - II. And yes, I used it in my college (1999 - 2003) at Madurai. It was a head-turner. It still runs fine and will retain it for ever.
Pictures before and after restoration. The Color combo is Pearl white & Ninja Green (with a coat of green pearl on top if it).
Superb pics. I always have soft corner for this as my Dad owned one. Ah, 2stroke rulez.
