    Possible Reasons for Left Pulling

Reasons as per told by the service center guy

    • Road surface is uneven and sloppy towards edge
    • Difference in the tyre pressure
    • Wheels out of balance.
    • Disturbed wheel alignment
    • Steering rod connector (tie rod?) is bent.

    Few more possibilities

    • A brake shoe has positioned/fixed improperly.
    • Defective suspension.
    • Defective chassis.

Dev11 My car(6 years old) pulls to the left as well, but due to a busted suspension, like the one in this thread - Solved - New Tata Manza pulls to the left over 30 times alignment checked, need solution.

Of course, I am not suggesting you have any of these problems, just so that you are aware of it.

    Thanks tadukuttan.

Awareness is important. It helps us in finding out the right cause and the possible solution, in case if anything problem occurs.

My Figo had a slight, very slight left pulling. It could be easily ignored if I was not aware of such things. One friend of mine also has left pulling problem. His car moves to the left as soon as he loosens his grip over the steering. The pull was very sharp like a maddoo (drunken) man! But he didn’t complain. He went to get it rectified only when I told him about this problem in his own vehicle.

Last week I came to know that there was a free monsoon checkup at Ford ASS in Pune! I was upset over not been informed by FASS. I took my car there as it was a last day. They did cleaning, washing, wiper checking/cleaning, greasing the door hinges and locks, top-up coolant and windshield washer with water (?).

I asked the mechanic there to fix my driver side seat belt which came factory fitted inside-out (steel clip facing/knocking a plastic). He failed to recognize the problem and later on confirmed only after verifying with other car’s seat belts. Actually this problem was remained to be rectified at first service as the service engineer failed to understand the faulty fitting and I too failed to check whether it was solved. Anyway, guy there told that it will take time and so would do it in my next visit some time. No problem for me, as I always (sorry - mostly) wear my seat belts before starting a car.

"For not informing me" - they checked and told me that they don't have my phone no, e-mail id on their computers!!! This is strange. I had received calls all other times since booking but for First Service, Customer meet by Ford Service Station and this Free Monsoon Checkup! They updated their data.

Figo is going good! This time I fueled just of Rs 1000/- instead of tank full as I had a doubt about the quality of petrol at that petrol pump.

camchennai , that was not a soap water but plain water (as the guy told me). He topped up both the coolant and wind-washer with the same water in a bottle.

Recently we went on a week-end one-day monsoon tour to Tamhini-Ghat. The ghat is on the way to Mangaon from Pune. We experienced good raining - "raining" and "raining of Figos"! (I have read this phrase in a blog, not remember exactly where was it.) There were a good number of Figos on the road, mostly driven by the young lads.

There were too many tourists, mostly from Pune and around. It was actually like driving in a city on crowded road with too many vehicles around. We even observed jams at couple of places. This ghat is beautiful with a lot of waterfalls all around. The ghat is good and easy drivable track, goes on winding around back-water of Mulshi Dam. There is a power station owned by Tatas. It is the first dam owned by any company other than the Govt in India, AFAIK.
